Dinosaurs and Lanterns

This group of drawings are amazing! I love the dinosaur in the mailbox drawings. It's one of my favorite drawings to do with new Club House Artists. It's just so darn cute!

We had new students trying out the class this week. I was going to do something simple, but before class I was inspired by the little candle lanterns in my family room left over from a Harry Potter birthday party. I thought, a lantern is simple because it's a cylinder. A candle is simple because it's a cylinder. So I decided that we would draw the lantern. During the drawing I was thinking, "OMG, I hope I'm not overwhelming our new artists." But, WOW, look at their drawings. I don't think they were overwhelmed at all.

Egyptian Art

Our Club House Artists spent two classes working on their life size Egyptian Coffins. We could have used one more class to finish these completely. They did an awesome job drawing the facial features and using patterns from their studies of Egyptian artwork.

Work in Progress

Our Club House Artists were so excited about learning about Analogous colors that they wanted to apply it to their classroom drawings. We ran out of time coloring them, so I took some work in progress pics of these super cute pups.
