Still Life

We are trying something different with the Club House Artists. Still life drawings. I mean really measuring for the correct size, proportion, and relationships between the objects. The Club House Artists were a bit quiet as they used their pencils to measure every line.

The homework project was titled: Two people with their pet using a still life. Here's their solutions:

And here is the first still life drawing the class worked on. I only got one image from the class as many didn't finish their drawings.

Character Fun

For our last class of the session we had some fun drawing two different creatures. A mouse in a teacup and a dragon on top of a castle tower. Both drawings required the same basic shapes to start. Foreshortened circles.
