Crazy Mac n Cheese

It was a fun night with the Club House Artists, although half of them were out sick. I hated that they missed because we drew such cute and fun drawings. They also learned a new "tool box" term. Grouping.
Here I thought drawing simple macaroni would be quick and easy as a warm up drawing and it turned out to be very frustrating for them. The angles were hard to grasp, but they finally got it. The noodles were supposed to be jumping, singing, and dancing. Then we decided they were dancing because they were trying to get out of the hot bowl before the person ate them!
Next we tried a grouping of frogs. We discussed how a grouping should be similar objects that go together.

Value Scales and Practice

The Club House Artists needed a review on the value scale and shading practice so we practiced on a simple cylinder and also created a value scale to show the value steps. I'm also posting some Christmas manger drawings from the holiday season. Enjoy.
